From state-of-the-art simulation labs to experienced instructors who are invested in their students’ success, Flathead Valley Community College is an excellent place to study nursing. And for those interested in pursuing a career in registered nursing, here’s another great reason to choose FVCC: our Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program is now accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN-CNEA), an organization that promotes excellence and integrity in nursing education globally.
To earn NLN-CNEA accreditation, FVCC’s ASN program underwent an extensive process to demonstrate competency in five core standards. The program is accredited through June 2026. Many health care employers require RNs to graduate from a nationally accredited program, so this places FVCC’s ASN on a national scale of the highest quality competitive programs preparing students for successful careers in nursing.
“Working as a nurse is a great profession for those who enjoy making a difference and helping people,” FVCC Director of Nursing Myrna Ridenour said. “Nurses are always learning and are never bored with their work.”
Graduates of FVCC’s ASN program are prepared to sit for the NCLEX certification exam to become RNs. Year after year, 100 percent of our graduates pass the exam.
In addition to an ASN degree, FVCC offers other options for students wishing to complete their nursing education in the Flathead Valley, including a Certified Nursing Assistant course and a Certificate of Applied Science in Practical Nursing.
