The Bibler Gardens is a private display garden in Kalispell, Montana designed by Louis A. “Sam” Bibler. Sam landscaped, planted and maintained the gardens at his home from around 1980 until his death in 2002. The extensive gardens, including ponds, waterfalls, sculptures, arboretum, and a log stable with a menagerie of miniature animals, are maintained today according to Sam’s desire to preserve the site as a place of lasting beauty that could be enjoyed by the Kalispell community and visitors to the area.

For our 2021 Spring Weekend tours, we will offer socially distanced, self-guided tours of beautiful Bibler Gardens and the spectacular home’s main floor (optional). Many thousands of tulips, daffodils and other spring plantings bloom each May creating delightful color and the welcome return of spring. You may stroll the gardens to your hearts content. Visitors wishing to view the home must wear masks and socially distance while indoors. Two hours are allotted for each visit; choose from an 11:00 or 1:30 start time. Remember that May 9 is Mother’s Day, so it’s a perfect time to treat your Mom to a special day! Tickets are $15 per adult and $5 per child.

The 2021 Splendid Summer Evenings and Sweet Summer Days will also include two-hour, self-guided tours of the gardens. Enjoy a sweet summer evening or summer day at the Bibler Home and Gardens. We’ll kick off summer events with our ever-popular Garden Party on Monday, July 19 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. At this time we are currently planning to offer a wine bar and plenty of hearty hors d’oeuvres served outdoors by FVCC’s Culinary Institute of Montana. The spectacular Bibler home will also be open for your enjoyment, but dining and beverages will take place outside. Splendid Summer Evenings will run Tuesday evening, July 20 through Friday evening, July 23 at 4:30pm and 7:00pm. More information on Sweet Summer Days to follow.

All proceeds from the Bibler Gardens Spring Weekends, Splendid Summer Evenings and Sweet Summer Days benefit the FVCC scholarship program. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the 2019 spring and summer visits raised more than $11,000 to benefit the scholarship program at Flathead Valley Community College.
