Living Near Campus

While Flathead Valley Community College does not offer residential housing, there are a number of affordable rental opportunities available in the community.

FVCC is located in the economic center of the Flathead Valley.  Neighboring our college is a brand new 14-screen cinema complex and numerous restaurants and shopping venues.

For Fitness Buffs

Located down the street from FVCC are The Summit Fitness Center and Kalispell Athletic Club.  Other health clubs, such as The Wave and Next Level Fitness in Whitefish, Montana Athletic Club and Work-It Circuit in Bigfork, Iron Fitness in Columbia Falls, and Curves for Women and Flathead Health and Fitness in Kalispell, are located throughout the Flathead Valley providing our students living in the surrounding area communities with indoor recreational opportunities year round.

Nightlife Montana Style

FVCC students can experience some of Montana’s finest nightlife right in the Flathead Valley.  During the winter months, you can take in the breathtaking area skyline via downhill skiing or snowboarding at Big Mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort or ice skate under the stars at the new Woodland Ice Center in Kalispell.  During the summer months, students can take advantage of the long days and extended daylight.  Throughout the Valley, you will find much to do, such as relaxing to live music at one of many outdoor evening concerts, camping with friends in the pristine Montana wilderness, or experiencing nostalgia on the big screen at one of America’s few remaining drive-in movie theatres, the Midway Drive-In in Columbia Falls.

Year round, there is plenty to do whether it is checking out a band at one local favorite, the Great Northern Bar and Grill in Whitefish, catching a play at the FVCC Theatre or at O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish, singing karaoke or line dancing at the Blue Moon Dance Hall in Columbia Falls, or teaming up with your friends for a game of bowling at one of the many bowling alleys throughout the Valley.
