FVCC is very proud to offer our students a number of institutional and non-institutional scholarship opportunities. Scholarships can be based on merit, financial need, or other criteria. FVCC is grateful to the many community donors who provide scholarship assistance to the students at FVCC. All students are encouraged to apply annually for all of the scholarships at FVCC.
FVCC Institutional Scholarships. By completing the institutional scholarship application, you will be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify. Listed in this scholarship brochure are the scholarships currently available for the 2017-2018 academic year. The priority application deadline is February 15, 2017.
FVCC Transformation Scholarship. $10,000. To apply for this scholarship, please fill out the Transformation Scholarship application and provide the supplemental documentation. The top three candidates will be selected for an interview process. The Scholarship Committee will then determine the Transformation recipient. Application deadline is February 15, 2017.
FVCC Academic Scholarship. If you are degree seeking, have earned 30 credits at FVCC, and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, then you may qualify for the FVCC Academic Scholarship. This scholarship will waive your tuition for two semesters and must be used within two years of establishing eligibility. For the application and/or more information, please stop by the Financial Aid Office.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities:
Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship. Available to students that are enrolled and pursuing a degree in the Advanced Manufacturing programs of study.
Whitefish Credit Union Scholarship: Applicants can be either full time or part time and must be a resident of Flathead, Lake, Sanders, or Lincoln County. Applicant must possess strong potential for academic and career success. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. Applications are available in the financial aid office. Application deadline is December 21, 2016.
FVCC Veterans Scholarship provided by the Past Exalted Rulers from Kalispell Elks Lodge 725. $500 for spring 2017. Student must be a Veteran. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office. Application deadline is January 3, 2017.
Donald E Pizzini Memorial Nurse Scholarship Program. Up to $1000 award. Student must be interested in pursuing or advancing a career in nursing with an emphasis on long term care. Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and must be a Montana resident and plan to remain in Montana to work after graduation. The application can be found at www.mthealthcare.org. Application deadline is February 28, 2017.
