You don’t need to enter college knowing exactly what you plan to do with your life or even which major you’ll choose. College is a time for self-discovery and exploration. That’s why FVCC puts so much time and energy into helping students explore possibilities and gain a wide variety of learning experiences, whether it’s participating in a play in our new state-of-the-art black box theatre or earning service learning credit while directly impacting and making a difference in our community.
Broad Education
FVCC introduces students to a wide variety of subjects, from economics with Dr. Gregg Davis, who involves students in his nationally recognized business research, to creative writing with published poet Lowell Jaeger. Our arts, humanities and science courses help you discover your strengths while meeting requirements for the AA and AS degrees. You’ll have plenty of time to discover your talents and interests.
Helpful Guidance
Whether you plan to transfer to a four-year school or pursue a career and technical program, you’ll benefit from the close attention and guidance of FVCC advisors and faculty. Our advising staff contacts you as soon as you enroll to help you plan your classes before you register. Our expert instructors have strong academic backgrounds and specialized experience in their fields, enabling them to discuss career possibilities with you.
