Parents of Future Students

At Flathead Valley Community College, we want the same things for your sons and daughters as you do—experiences that lead to lifelong success. We do that with an education that rivals the quality you’ll find at top institutions across the country but at a fraction of the price. The environment is comfortable and the community is close-knit, fostering long-lasting relationships with students and faculty.

Top Faculty
Our well-respected faculty come from outstanding colleges and universities across the nation. Nearly 25 percent of our faculty have Ph.D.s, and our career and technical instructors have years of specialized, real-world experience in the topics they teach.

Personal Attention
Small class sizes with a student/faculty ratio of 16:1 ensure students participate and receive one-on-one attention from dedicated teachers.

Academic Support

Our institution-wide focus on providing academic support gives students the foundation they need to gain confidence in their abilities and pursue challenging opportunities.

Meaningful Degrees and Certificates
Our transfer degrees—the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees—allow students to transfer to any institution in the Montana University System at junior status, with their core requirements fulfilled. Our Associate of Applied Science degree and certificates prepare students to enter the professional workforce with the technical training employers seek.

Affordable Tuition
The cost of an education at FVCC is considerably less than state colleges and universities. Plus, during the 2005/2006 academic year, 85 percent of FVCC graduates obtained some type of financial assistance through the FVCC Financial Aid Office. We offer a huge range of scholarships and grants to defray costs. Many students graduate without outstanding student loans.
