Discounts & Waivers

We provide a number of discounts to qualified individuals.

The senior citizen discount is available to Flathead and Lincoln County in-district residents 65 years of age and older. For information on tuition and fees, contact the business office at (406) 756-3831.

In-district and out-of-district Running Start students are eligible for a one-time 6 credit tuition waiver that can be used during their time here at FVCC. Lab fees, books, and supplies are not discounted. Out-of-state Running Start students are not eligible for the waiver.

The American Indian Tuition Waiver is offered to students who qualify. Eligibility requirements include Montana residency, proof of ¼ or more Indian blood or are an enrolled member of a state or federally recognized Indian tribe which is located within the boundaries of the State of Montana and demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA. For more detailed information and to apply, please complete the FVCC American Indian Tuition Waiver Application and return it to the financial aid office. In cooperation with Eagle Transit, FVCC offers discounted student bus passes each semester. Bus passes can be purchased at the business office starting on the first day of each semester. For more information, call (406) 756-3831.

High School seniors who graduate in the top 10 percent of their class from Flathead, Glacier, Bigfork, Columbia Falls, Whitefish, Eureka, Libby or Troy high schools receive an in-district tuition waiver for two semesters. Students must utilize the tuition waiver within two years and must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Those in the top 10 percent of the class are determined by the high school.

The top high school graduate who is attending FVCC and has a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA from Arlee, Bigfork, Browning, Charlo, Eureka, Hot Springs, Libby, Noxon, Plains, Polson, Ronan, St. Ignatius, Swan Lake, Thompson Falls or Troy receive an in-district tuition waiver for two semesters.Students must utilize the tuition waiver within two years and must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. The top high school graduate is determined by the high school.

The MUS Honor Scholarship is a four year renewable scholarship that waives the recipient’s tuition when used at an eligible campus. The MUS student financial services office offers up to 200 scholarships annually (contingent upon continued funding of the program). Students must be a Montana resident and be graduating from a Montana high school with a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA for consideration.

If you are degree seeking, have earned 30 credits at FVCC, and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, then you may qualify for the FVCC Academic Scholarship. This scholarship will waive in-district tuition for two semesters and must be used within two years of establishing eligibility.

Students accepted into the FVCC Honors Program are eligible for an in-state tuition waiver for two semesters while participating in the program.
