Advice from Transfer Students

The process of transferring credits to the college of your choice is easy, according to FVCC students who’ve pursued bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degrees beyond FVCC. Full-time and degree-seeking students receive academic advising before registration, ensuring you’ll save time and money by pursuing the exact courses you’ll need.

Ask for Assistance

“Ask an FVCC staff member to go to your transfer school’s orientation with you. I transferred from FVCC to Montana State University in Bozeman. FVCC staff attended the new student orientation with me at MSU. They even scheduled an appointment for me to meet with the MSU engineering transfer advisor that day. It was pretty sweet.”

Check the Transfer Agreement

“I actually earned an Associates of Applied Science and Accounting and a certificate in business management. I’m transferring to Brigham Young University Idaho to work towards my bachelor’s in accounting, and I hope to get my master’s and my CPA in the next three or four years. This particular school is really good with transferring FVCC credits. Every class but one, which was not a 100-level course, transferred.”
Jerilee Zacharious, AAS, Libby, Montana

Apply for Financial Assistance

“FVCC has a good scholarship program. College is expensive, and I think it’s wise for people to start off at a two-year school and get prerequisites done.”
