Admission Requirements
Any applicant who is a graduate of an accredited high school or who holds a GED high school equivalency certificate may be admitted as a degree-seeking student.

Accreditation
FVCC was established in 1967, has a student body of approximately 1,800, and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

Housing
While there are no residence halls on our campus, there is an abundance of adequate, reasonably-priced housing in our local communities.

Academic Programs and Degrees Offered
FVCC offers Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees. Further, students can enroll in career and technical programs, certificate programs and transfer programs.

Transferring Credits from FVCC
In evaluating undergraduate course work from other postsecondary institutions, the four-year campuses within the Montana University System will only accept courses with a grade of "C" or higher.

Advanced Placement Program (AP)
Students who complete college-level work in high school, can receive appropriate credit, placement or both, based on performance in the Advanced Placement (AP) program sponsored by the College Board. AP exams are offered in a number of academic disciplines.

International Baccalaureate (IB)
Students may earn college credit by taking International Baccalaureate tests while in high school and providing official transcripts showing satisfactory scores.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Both CLEP subject and general exams yield credit at FVCC when satisfactory performance levels are reached. FVCC accepts CLEP as well as DANTES and USAFI (CLEP administered in the Armed Forces) according a published table.

Running Start Program
Running Start provides eligible high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get an affordable “running start” on their college education at half the cost of tuition. FVCC has teamed up with Flathead and Lincoln County High Schools to offer students the option to earn high school and college credits simultaneously through dual credit courses. High school students also can choose to earn only college credit while enrolled in the Running Start program.

Commencement Facts
Last year FVCC awarded 228 degrees and certificates consisting of 145 Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, 66 Associate of Applied Science degrees, and 17 certificates to 195 graduates.
