"Education is not the answer to the question. Education is the means to the answer to all questions.:--William Allin
Flathead Valley Community College with the support of the community has consistently offered quality, local education programs that are far less-expensive than four-year alternatives. The cost of attendance, however, is still too great for many of our region's students which include recently dislocated and unemployed workers in addition to many recent high school graduates. Scholarships are a critical piece of allowing everyone access to affordable education. Eighty percent of FVCC's students require some form of financial aid to attend school.
In addition to scholarships, the college has specific programmatic and infrastructural needs that exceed the annual operating costs of the school. For instance, the FVCC Foundation occasionally buys new equipment or creates space to expand programs to ensure our programs remain current and our students remain competitive.
Giving to Flathead Valley Community College is an excellent investment. Every gift has a profound impact on helping students acquire a quality education right here in the Flathead Valley.

Endowments An endowment is a permanent fund in which the principle is invested and the earnings are used to support students. Endowed funds support in perpetuity, programs or purposes designated by the donor. Unrestricted endowed funds are especially critical because they allow the college to respond to challenges and opportunities as they change over time. For instance, a gift of $10,000 will support a $500 student scholarship every year.
Memorial Scholarships Donations are made by family and friends in memory of a loved one. Proceeds are often directed to particular programs or specific areas of student aid.
