The Flathead Valley Community College Foundation is interested in funding adventurous and innovative projects from FVCC faculty, staff, groups, departments, or divisions. All areas of the college are welcome to apply. Partnerships between college departments/divisions or with organizations or businesses in the broader community are encouraged.
Successful proposals will address at least one of the following priorities:
There is $15,000 available for Enhancement Grants in 2011.
The maximum amount an applicant can request is $5,000 per project.
The FVCC Foundation will typically not consider proposals that could be funded from traditional college sources within the college’s operating budget. For example, more or less routine purchases of supplies or equipment are not likely to be fund
Step 1: Complete and submit the project application. A detailed line-item budget and a budget narrative describing how funds will be used and the signature of your supervisor or the Vice President of Instruction must also be included. Additional materials will be accepted.
Please submit one original application with signatures and the project’s budget narrative to the FVCC Foundation Office, in Blake Hall by 5:00pm on October 15th, 2010.
Step 2: The FVCC Foundation Review Committee will review proposals and may contact applicants for an informational interview if deemed necessary. Recipients will be announced by November 2nd, 2010.
Step 3: Successful applicants will have an opportunity to describe their project to the FVCC Foundation Board of Directors at the end of their project period and submit a brief final project report. Funds must be expended within twelve months of the award, and changes to the original budget or project scope will require prior approval by the FVCC Foundation.
