Senior Institute
FVCC Presents the 2013 Annual Senior Institute
Registration for Flathead Valley Community College’s 2013 Senior Institute will kick off January 7. The program provides area seniors ages 65 years of age and older opportunities to enroll in classes designed just for them. The program promotes the lifelong opportunities and enables seniors to learn new information, develop new and enhance existing skills, reconnect with old friends and make new ones and stay active during the winter months.
Last year, more than 260 seniors participated in the six-week program. This spring, seniors have the opportunity to enroll in one of the program’s 14 courses that range from yoga, computers and jewelry to the U.S. Economy, Glacier National Park, and Maori culture. The cost to enroll varies with each class.
The program will meet every Friday beginning February 22 and concluding March 29. Students are treated to a complimentary lunch buffet each Friday from noon to 12:50 p.m. Classes follow lunch from 1 to 2:50 p.m.
Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost to enroll varies with each class. Click here to view the 2013 Senior Institute schedule, course descriptions and enrollment fees.
