What is Elderhostel?
Elderhostel is a week-long, residential learning experience for people age 55 and older.  Participants have access to programs at universities, national parks, museums, conference center and other learning sites in the U.S., Canada and around the world.  These non-credit programs take place over the course of one week and are designed to teach new skills or expand intellectual knowledge.

Value
Flathead Valley Community College participates in this national program offering twenty-five or more programs a year.  As the world’s largest not-for-profit educational travel organization, Elderhostel is committed to providing exceptional learning adventures for a remarkable value. Our programs provide challenging, interesting, and affordable opportunities for students with inquiring minds.  Classes are taught by college faculty and local experts.

Programs Available
Participants may choose from an outdoor photography class in Glacier National Park or study about wolves and grizzlies from the spectacular Going-To-The-Sun Highway.  Hike the trails of Glacier National Park with binoculars in hand to view the spectacular scenery and wildlife that makes our corner of Montana such a special place to visit or travel to Banff and Waterton International Peace Park to view flora, fauna and geological features.
