About the Instructor

Mac Swan, Montana’s first Christa McAuliffe scholar, wrote Montana: Let There Be Lit! A Resource Guide for Teachers of Montana Writers. For nearly three decades, he encouraged his students at Polson High School to enjoy the work of Montana writers through his courses in Montana literature. For a number of years he was an educational consultant and with other colleagues, led workshops in Oregon and elsewhere to help teachers integrate career studies into the curriculum. Retired now from the classroom, he currently lives in Polson with his wife and two children.
