Continuing Education

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of becoming a professional digital photographer or Web designer. Perhaps you want to learn the fundamentals of successful grant writing or nonprofit management. FVCC’s non-credit programs and courses—designed for children, adults and seniors—offer an exciting array of possibilities for those who seek to enrich their careers, pick up a new hobby, expand their knowledge in specific fields or simply enjoy the challenge of continuing their education and learning something new. Here’s what students have to say about their experiences within such programs:

Leslie Rich, director of office operations for LPL Financial Services in Kalispell

“I have been taking classes off and on for many years. I’ve taken some interior decorating, calligraphy, PowerPoint, and Excel classes. We’re lucky to have such a high caliber of teaching professionals in our valley,” she says. “There’s a real sense of ‘I can help you’ attitude from the instructors.”

Kari Klehm, massage therapist, Meadowlark Massage

“The continuing education classes I’ve taken have covered things I was curious about, such as Tai Chi and writing courses. The prices made them worth exploring.

“I took the Shiatsu course because I’m a massage therapist, and I wanted to experiment with a different modality of massage. I have incorporated some of what I learned in my own practice.

“I’ve taken FVCC classes off and on since the 1980s. In fact, I will soon start a short-term class with my mother and son!”
