For decades, area businesses have taken advantage of all of the exciting possibilities and resources FVCC offers, from community development to employee training. Here’s what some area leaders had to say:

Flathead Electric.
“FVCC is extremely accommodating and helpful. Not only do they meet our needs, they often exceed them. They listen to our desired outcomes and are willing to adjust or adapt to our changing needs,” says Stephanie Wallace, human resources manager for Flathead Electric.
Besides utilizing workforce development through continuing education, Flathead Electric offers tuition reimbursement to employees who seek a degree or certification of any kind from FVCC.

Kalispell Chamber of Commerce.
“The facilities are excellent,” says Joe Unterreiner, president and CEO of the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce. “FVCC offers discounts to Chamber members for their non-credit business and professional development courses.”

Plum Creek.
“We have taken advantage of custom-designed training for our IT department,” says Jim Lehner, director of community affairs for Plum Creek Timber Company. “Having the college located close enough for our employees to take classes really provides both the employee and Plum Creek opportunities to advance our business goals.”

Whitefish Chamber of Commerce.
“We attend various meetings with the college and the information sharing is effective,” says Whitefish Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Sheila Bowen. She calls Flathead Valley Community College “one of our valley’s best assets.”

Glacier Bank.
“I would recommend FVCC to everyone,” says Cindy Carpenter, Glacier Bank human resource manager, who sends staff to attend non-credit continuing education classes and supports employees’ pursuit of two-year degrees. “Additionally, we have a leadership series training program that has graduated four separate groups totaling approximately 70 employees.” This series is taught by an instructor arranged through FVCC.
“Overall, I am very happy with the quality provided by the college and their attentiveness to our needs. They have a great staff, from their president and HR manager to the manager of continuing education and the support staff.”
