As relaxed, comfortable and friendly everyone is at Flathead Valley Community College, we take our academics very seriously. Our programs. Our facilities. Our library. Our people. It’s all about giving you everything you need to make the most of your potential.
Here are just a few of the things that characterize the academic excellence at FVCC…
Innovation
We like to think big. For instance, we recently launched a fast-track business curriculum. Our surveying degree program is one of just two such programs in the Rocky Mountain region. This program has achieved one of the best pass rates on the Land Surveyor Intern Exam in the nation. Our Running Start Program enables local students to earn college credits while completing their high school curriculum.
Quality
We’re all about doing things right. For instance, each spring our Honors Symposium brings in experts from across the country and around the world to address our community about current global issues. We recently installed a $550,000 interactive television linking our two campuses.
Resources
We’re never afraid of change. Our campus is constantly evolving in ways that enhance student life inside and outside the classroom. In the past few years alone, we’ve invested nearly $16 million for the construction of three new academic buildings. Our heavy equipment operator program recently received nearly $700,000 in new equipment.
Results
We get things done. Our graduates have transferred to undergraduate programs at esteemed universities such as Stanford University, and Ph.D. programs at such institutions as The Johns Hopkins University. And for the past eight years more than 95 percent of all FVCC job-seeking graduates have successfully secured employment upon graduating.
