Admissions

Students who come to Flathead Valley Community College are looking for something bigger. Something different. Something that will change the rest of their lives.

Our academic programs do just that. From the moment you enroll until the day you graduate, you will experience the kind of personalized instruction, guidance and attention that is hard to match even at small colleges and universities. And you’ll experience it in an awe-inspiring setting that most schools can’t even imagine.
Our prestigious faculty are top notch. Many are award winning. Others have trained, taught or volunteered across the globe. But they all have a few things in common. They all teach their classes. They are all drawn to Northwest Montana for its pristine beauty, limitless recreation and high quality of life. And they are all passionate about their students’ college experiences and preparing their students for success.
Our alumni are well-prepared to successfully transfer onto four-year colleges and universities in Montana and beyond. Most students who complete our Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree programs can transfer as juniors. Those who studied career and technical programs are well-prepared to enter the workforce immediately following graduation. A number of our alumni hold impressive professional positions in undergraduate programs at esteemed universities such as Stanford University and Columbia University, and in world-class graduate programs at institutions such as The Johns Hopkins University.
