Satellite Services
Media Services has analog C-band satellite receiving capability as well as digital KU-band receiving capability for PBS programming. The satellite dishes are used primarily for recording audio visual resource materials. Learning Resource Center room 120 is wired for satellite reception and is available for groups of up to 30 people for satellite video conferencing when METNET compressed video conferences are not utilizing the room (unfortunately, the room is heavily utilized).
The service, when available, is free for college faculty, staff, and student organized events. The fee is $50.00 for a half day conference for off-campus groups during regular office hours--higher if after hours. For more information contact Malinda at (406) 756-3828 or email media@fvcc.edu.
