Interactive Video
Flathead Valley Community College houses the METNET two-way interactive compressed video system for Flathead County. METNET stands for Montana Educational Telecommunications Network and it is available for use by state agencies, higher education, K-12 schools, and approved nonprofit corporations where usage qualifies under state statute. Media Services provides technical assistance in running the equipment for each class/conference on the system. The system is located in Learning Resources Center room 120 (capacity 30 people).
The college also possesses an interactive Visionet ITV lab for instructional purposes, and two 'portable' ITV systems. Use of this equipment requires active coordination with all participating remote sites, and may involve applicable fees.
