Career Classes
Choosing a career or a college major is an important decision! At FVCC, we offer credit classes designed to assist students with the career planning process. Check out the current course schedule for details on times and credits.
Transition to College(ID 101 31 + ENGL 111W 31 + PSY 110A 31)
This transition to college class is for general studies students who will begin their college experience with a group of peers focused around a common theme.
Career Awareness (ID 110)
A must class for the undecided, general studies student or people who are considering a career change. Learn to explore and evaluate career options and to set career goals. Students establish a career plan and develop job search skills through the use of personal inventories and computerized search systems. Emphasis will be placed on developing skill that enables students to continue this process throughout life.
Express Career Planning (ID 181)
This mini-class uses personality, interest, and skill inventories to generate career possibilities for the student to consider and research. The student will develop an action plan for his or her next academic/career steps.
