Informational Session: August 5
FVCC will host an informational session on its Running Start program for the community August 5 at 6 p.m. in the large community meeting room inside the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.
What is Running Start?
The Running Start program provides eligible high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get an affordable start on their education by earning college credits while still in high school.
The first six credits are offered at no cost for in-district students*, and subsequent courses are offered at a significantly reduced cost. Some courses offer dual credit opportunities which allow students to gain high school and college credit simultaneously.
Why Choose Running Start?
- Significantly reduce the cost of a college education.
- Experience college education while in high school, easing the transition to future education and career opportunities.
- Decrease the time it takes to complete a college degree.
For more information about the Running Start program contact Elizabeth Romain, Running Start Coordinator, at (406) 756-3923 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Institutional fees include FVCC’s building fee, technology fee, activity fee, grounds/maintenance fee, and equipment fee. All institutional fees are waived for Running Start students. Some courses have associated course fees for necessary supplies which are not waived.
