OPI Renewal Units
Each FVCC college credit counts as 15 OPI renewal units for teacher recertification because FVCC is a regionally accredited educational institution.  For full licensure information, teachers should visit the Office of Public Instruction.

Glacier Institute also provides classes which are OPI approved for renewal units through FVCC.

Pay Scale Advancement
Requirements vary among K-12 school districts as to which college courses qualify for pay scale advancements.  As a community college, FVCC offers 100 and 200 level college courses. Through our partnership with the University of Great Falls, we are able to offer 300 and 400 level classes.  Please check with your district to determine which courses are eligible for you to advance on the pay scale.
