GED/Adult Basic Education
The welcoming environment and free adult education at FVCC make it easy and enjoyable to earn your high school diploma. Our teachers cater to your learning style because they have the experience and dedication to discover how you learn best. They will help you get the work done through individualized and small-group instruction.
Our Adult Basic Education Center offers free day and evening classes in Flathead and Lincoln Counties. The center assists individuals age 16 and older who wish to:
- Improve reading, writing, math, language, and study skills.
- Prepare for the General Education and Development (GED) test
- Refresh skills before entering college or vocational training
- Build English skills(for those whose native language is not English).
Reading and Writing Skills
We focus on basics. You’ll work closely with instructors to improve your English grammar, capitalization, punctuation, usage, and spelling. Become a more effective writer and stronger reader with a larger vocabulary and improved reading comprehension.
Basic Mathematics
Get a great foundation from our basic math instruction that makes even difficult concepts easy to understand. You’ll gain better problem-solving skills with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, measurement, algebra, and geometry.
Easy Transition
Finishing your high school education at FVCC is just the start to preparing for a future of possibilities. You’ll open up the vast educational opportunities available in our degree, certificate, and workforce development programs.
