What are some of FVCC’s non-traditional educational opportunities?
- Educators can earn teacher renewal unitsTeachers Recertification through specialized workshops.
- Older adults continue challenging themselves in exercise, art, history, foreign language classes and so much more through our Senior Institute and Road Scholar programs. It’s a great way to socialize with longtime friends and develop new ones.
- Children come to campus to attend Galapagos Island Adventure, African Safari, Space Camp and Science Exploration and so much more during FVCC's summer Kid’s College.
- High school students enjoy advanced coursework through the Running Start program, where they can earn dual high school and college credit for FVCC classes.
- College students take learning outside the classroom through service learning, allowing them to apply classroom theories to real-world scenarios while helping members of the local community.
- Adults interested in refocusing their careers or honing their employment skills will find abundant opportunities through workforce training, community education classes, and GED/adult basic education.
