AA & AS Transfer Programs
Flathead Valley Community College offers two general transfer degrees: the Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees. Either degree offers you a course of study equal to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree. Though you’ll take classes in a specific area, the degree doesn’t include a major or minor. Students can typically transfer to any Montana University System (MUS) school with junior class status. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is a career and technical degree and is the only FVCC degree with a specified area of emphasis. Students still deciding on a major should contact the FVCC Learning Center.
FVCC has developed Transfer Programs that suggest particular academic or career areas. All programs can be modified to meet individual needs and transfer institution requirements. For information on transferability of credits to particular colleges and universities, contact the transfer advisor.
Students can stay in the Flathead Valley and finish four-year degrees for particular programs through Four-Year Partnerships with several Montana universities.
