FVCC is happy that you have decided to pursue a degree here and we look forward to doing our part to help you during your academic pursuits and to strive to make sure you meet your goals.
Returning to civilian life after active duty is an adjustment. The good news is that you are here at FVCC. We have dedicated staff members and faculty who have educated themselves about the unique challenges faced by veterans transitioning between the military and civilian environment. Some of them are veterans themselves.
The Veterans’ Center, located in LRC 111, was created to assist FVCC student veterans and military family members here on campus. The Veterans’ Center serves as the central switch board for veterans who need information or assistance, whether it is regarding their VA benefits, FVCC-related topics, or civilian matters. The Veterans’ Center is also a place where veterans can network with each other.
Please come to the Veterans’ Affairs Office, located in LRC 110 (within the Veterans’ Center),to get more information about the use of VA education benefits for veterans, dependents, guard members and reservists who are enrolled in school and pursuing a college degree. The Veterans’ Affairs Office is the liaison between FVCC and the VA.
