The College is seeking applicants to fill the temporary position of Men’s Soccer Coach. This position is temporary for the Fall 2008 season. (Aug 1, 2008 – Nov 30, 2008) Pay is $3500 for the season.
The coach reports to the Athletic Director and is responsible for recruitment, coaching and management of the men’s soccer program in compliance with requirements of the National Junior College Athletic Association and all college policies and guidelines.
Duties
- Recruits players, coaches team, and manages program
- Makes and/or coordinates necessary travel arrangements including required paperwork
- Complies with all college policies and guidelines
- Works collaboratively with College Relations and Athletic Director to keep media informed of the team’s progress
- Manages budget in compliance with college policies and guidelines
- Conducts and coordinates fundraising activities as needed
- Ensures athletes meet eligibility requirements
- Manages equipment, uniforms, etc.
- Maintains records as required by the College and NJCAA
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- At least five year’s experience coaching or playing high school or college soccer, two years must have been in coaching
- Working knowledge of junior college or community college sports
- Ability to perform/teach all aspects required for participation in men’s soccer as governed by the National Junior College Athletic Association
- Valid Montana driver’s license
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Strong interpersonal skills
