Flex Plan

Employee Benefit Resources is the reimbursement plan provider for the MUS Choices Benefit Plan.  Our flex accounts are a great deal!  If you have predictable out-of-pocket medical or child care expenses, you should enroll in this program and use pre-tax dollars to pay for these costs.  Depending on your income tax bracket, you will save somewhere between 25% and 40% of your total expenditures for child care and out-of-pocket medical costs. 

You must plan carefully, however.  If you fail to use all of the money set aside, you will lose it at the end of the plan year.  Remember that there is no default to this program and you must re-enroll every year.  Do not forget to save your medical receipts.  Even if you use the “Benny” debit card to withdraw your funds, you must still submit all of your receipts to EBR.
