Flathead Valley Community College invites the college community to participate in a Red, White and Blue Run to honor September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. The non-timed 3K fun run/walk will take place September 5 at 4 p.m. on the college campus in Kalispell and will be open to FVCC students and community, including employees, alumni, ambassadors, trustees, donors and families.
Participants will be doused with non-toxic red and blue-colored cornstarch powder throughout the course. Sponsored by the FVCC Service Learning and Intramurals programs, the family-friendly race will be appropriate for all ages.
The cost to participate is $15 for each FVCC student and $20 for each member of the college community. Admission includes a race shirt, FVCC sunglasses and a red, white and blue treat. Proceeds will benefit Montana Wounded Warriors to honor local veterans and first responders.
Race registration is limited, so interested participants are encouraged to register early. Registrations can be completed online at www.fvcc.edu/rwbrun. Registration forms also are available in the FVCC Intramurals Office in Blake Hall. The deadline to register is September 4 at noon depending on available space.
