“Rockin’ to the Rhythm of Service” Free Customer Service Training Coming to Kalispell this Month

Representatives of local  convenience stores, lodging properties, visitor information centers, museums, outfitters, restaurants and other  businesses greeting visitors to the area are invited to attend the popular “Rockin’ to the Rhythm of Service” seminar in Kalispell.  For the convenience of the Kalispell community, the Kalispell Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting two free seminars.  Business owners, managers, and front-line staff are encouraged to attend either session.  Sessions will take place May 21 from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 1 to 4 p.m. at Homewood Suites by Hilton, 195 Hutton Ranch Road, in Kalispell.

Presented by the Montana Office of Tourism and the Tourism Development Program, this fast-paced customer service and tourism training program is custom-designed for Montana hospitality providers.  New this year is a focus on advanced questioning techniques. These techniques help businesses engage and guide visitors, probe for more information, clarify needs and lead to productive relationships with customers.  Combining efforts to focus on customer service ensures the viability of Montana’s economic success and its $3 billion tourism industry.

Seminar trainer Lisa Jones is a dynamic facilitator who will motivate attendees to value their role in the local tourism industry, expand their knowledge, connect with customers and take a fresh look at ways their business can attain rave reviews from customers and keep them as return customers.  With strong connections to the Montana tourism industry, her service examples and suggestions will provide practical skills and tips which can be put to use immediately following the session.  Previous participants appreciated learning about the wealth of travel resources available, hearing stories from others service providers in their community, obtaining new customer service perspectives and tactics and interacting in a group setting.
