FVCC Theatre Holds Summer Theatre Auditions

Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will hold auditions for its summer theatre season May 22 and 23.

Jointly directed by Blake Sherman and returning director Joshua Kelly, the shows will include Stephen Adly Guirgis’s “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot”and William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.” The shows are scheduled for late July and mid-August.

Those interested in auditioning should prepare one monologue from any Shakespeare character and a contrasting modern monologue. Auditions also will include cold readings of provided scenes from one or both shows. Additional callbacks may be scheduled at a later date.

All auditioning actors will be considered for both shows. Rehearsals are scheduled to allow cast actors to perform in both shows if interested. In addition, stage managing, tech crew and various design positions will be available for both shows.

Auditions will take place at 6 p.m. in the FVCC Theatre inside the Arts and Technology Building on campus.  Interested actors may choose to audition either date.

Further inquiries can be directed to either Blake Sherman at shermanblake@hotmail.com or Joshua Kelly at joshuakelly116@gmail.com.
