Each spring since 2004, the Bibler Foundation has partnered with the Flathead Valley Community College Foundation to offer intimate tours of the Bibler Home and Gardens as a scholarship and program fundraiser for the college. This year, the Bibler Home and Gardens Spring Stroll is scheduled for the second and third weekends in May.
The Bibler Home is filled with an exquisite collection of antiques, sculptures and Persian carpets and is surrounded by tens of thousands of tulips and daffodils accented with ponds, waterfalls, fountains, wooden foot bridges and other calming touches. With the exception of privately arranged tours, the home and gardens are accessible only through the college Foundation tours during select weekends in May and during the last week in July when the gardens’ summer flowers are in full bloom.
This year’s Spring Stroll will take place May 10, 17 and 18 featuring guided one-and-one-half hour tours of the Bibler Home and Gardens at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The 3 p.m. tour on May 18, will offer Persian rug enthusiasts the chance to view the extensive tribal rug and weaving collection in addition to the home and gardens during a special two-hour tour. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children, except for the 3 p.m. rug collection tour on May 18 which is $20 per person.
Tickets for all events are limited and must be purchased in advance through the Flathead Valley Community College Foundation Office by calling (406) 756-3632 or by visiting www.biblergardens.org. Proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit student scholarships and programs at Flathead Valley Community College.
