The Flathead Valley Community College Art Department’s spring Student Art Show will open May 6 with an open house featuring live art demonstrations by FVCC art students and Art Department faculty. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Student Art Gallery and the Art Department inside the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.
The student art show consists of works in all media from this semester’s art courses including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, photography, graphics, and jewelry. The show will be juried by Wes Hines, former art instructor at both Flathead High School and Glacier High School. An award ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the open house.
The spring student art show and open house is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served during the open house. The show will remain up for viewing until May 9. For more information, contact David Regan at 756-3993.
