FVCC Art Department to Hold Open House During Fall Student Art Show

As part of the student art show currently on display, the Flathead Valley Community College Art Department will hold a community open house on December 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.   During the open house, students and faculty will be working in all of FVCC’s art studios, and visitors will be encouraged to participate.

The student art show consists of works in all media from this semester’s art courses including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, photography, graphics, and jewelry.  New this year, the show will be juried by Elizabeth Moss from the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell.  An award ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. the evening of the open house.

The fall student art show and open house is free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served during the open house.  The show will remain up for viewing until December 11.  For more information, contact FVCC Art Professor John Rawlings at 756-3896.
