Spots still remain in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at Flathead Valley Community College this fall.
The one-semester course offers an introduction to the field of emergency trauma medicine. Upon completion of this course, students will be qualified to sit for the national written and practical examinations for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician/Basic. The course requires a minimum of 120 hours, which includes both classroom and clinical work. Certified EMTs are eligible to work on an ambulance or in other industries with safety response needs.
