Local residents and visitors to the Flathead Valley will have the opportunity to experience a splendid summer evening surrounded by acres of colorful annuals and perennials in full bloom highlighted by stunning views of the Flathead Valley. The Flathead Valley Community College Foundation will host summer tours of the Bibler Home and Gardens July 22 through 26.
The Bibler Home and Gardens is situated on a hillside west of the city of Kalispell, overlooking the Flathead Valley and the Swan Mountains to the east, with views of several peaks in Glacier National Park. Tours of the gardens and the home’s exquisite collection of antiques, sculptures and heirloom Persian carpets will be one-and-a-half hours in length and will take place July 23 through 26 at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children and must be purchased in advance.
The tours will be introduced with a special kick-off event July 22 featuring a wine reception with light hors d’oeuvres prepared by students of The Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC and instructor Chef Howard Karp. The kick-off event will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 for adults and $90 per couple and must be purchased in advance. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend the kick-off event.
Proceeds from the kick-off reception and all tours will benefit the scholarship program at Flathead Valley Community College.
