The Flathead Valley Community College Art Department’s fall student art show will commence with an open house on December 6 from 6-9 p.m. in the Student Art Gallery in the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus. The show will consist of works in all media from this semester’s art courses including painting, drawing, design, ceramics, photography, graphics, and jewelry. Hundreds of pieces will be on display for the public to view.
During the open house, students and faculty will be working in all of FVCC’s art studios, and visitors will be encouraged to participate. Additionally, Ceramics Instructor David Smith and his students will conduct raku firing demonstrations outside the ceramics studio. Refreshments will be served during the open house.
The fall student art show is free and open to the public and will remain up for viewing until December 18. For more information, contact John Rawlings at 756-3896.
