Flathead Valley Community College will offer a new course on speed reading starting April 3. With the increased demand on the quantity and quality of reading at the college level, the short one-credit course is designed to provide students with improved reading rates and comprehension skills.
Speed reading is targeted toward students who are already good readers and want to become superior readers, people who may be preparing for graduate school, college faculty and school teachers who have large amounts of reading to do, and students who would like to spend less time reading their required assignments while maintaining or improving their reading comprehension.
The course will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4:15 p.m. through May 8. To learn more or to register, contact the college Registration Office at 756-3848.
