Flathead Valley Community College is accepting applications for fall entry into the 2012-2013 Practical Nursing Program. The deadline for application submissions is April 27 at 2 p.m.
FVCC students who have completed or will be completing all of the required prerequisite courses this spring and have a 2.75 minimum grade point average in those prerequisite courses are eligible to apply for admission into the program. Admission criteria includes: the applicants’ grade point average for the required pre-requisite courses; proof of required immunizations; letters of reference; paid and volunteer health care experience; and a cover letter or essay. Final acceptance requires passing a background check, testing negative for active tuberculosis, and proof of current personal health insurance. The college will admit 20 students in Kalispell and 10 students in Browning into the program this fall semester.
New students are required to complete the FVCC Application for Admission and follow the steps for enrolling, including submitting official transcripts if transfer of credits is to be considered. Student information and application packets containing information necessary to complete the application process are available on the college website at http://www.fvcc.edu/practicalnursing.html. Applications may be dropped off at the college’s Admissions Office or mailed to: FVCC Admissions Office, 777 Grandview Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
